The 84-year-old was released on Sunday along with 16 other hostages in the Gaza Strip. She was immediately taken to the clinic by helicopter. Because she has not been cared for while she was held hostage since October 7th, she now needs to be stabilized. “Your life is in danger,” said the clinic director.
The old lady, an artist, was kidnapped from her kibbutz Nahal Oz in southern Israel in the brutal attack by the radical Islamic group Hamas. According to Israeli information, on October 7, Hamas fighters killed around 1,200 people in Israel and kidnapped 240 more as hostages in the Gaza Strip, many of them women and children.
Israel then declared war on the Palestinian organization and launched massive air and ground attacks on targets in the Gaza Strip. According to Hamas figures, which cannot be independently verified, more than 15,000 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory since then.
