So, like, you know that dude Shedeur Sanders? He didn’t get picked after the 3rd round of the NFL Draft. Sad stuff, man. Also, this guy George Santos got sentenced to 7 years for some federal fraud thing. Tough break, buddy. And then there’s this lady Virginia Giuffre who died by suicide after surviving abuse from Jeffrey Epstein. Crazy world we live in, right?
But hey, let’s talk about Pope Francis’ funeral. The guy was laid to rest, and now everyone’s wondering what’s next for the Catholic Church. Like, not really sure why this matters, but people are saying the ceremony paid tribute to the pontiff. World leaders and faithful folks gathered in Rome for the funeral, and there was even an open-air hearse carrying the Pope’s coffin. Americans who were there said it was all ‘joyful and peaceful,’ so that’s nice.
Anyway, Pope Francis’ coffin left St. Peter’s Square after the funeral, and there was this thing called the Litany of the Saints during the service. They even distributed Holy Communion to the crowds. People are remembering Pope Francis as ‘a pope among people,’ which is kinda sweet. Oh, and Trump and Zelenskyy showed up at the funeral too. Pallbearers carried the Pope’s coffin out into St. Peter’s Square, and mourners gathered to give their final farewell. Just another day in the life of the Catholic Church, I guess.
