During an animal operation, the fire brigade in Frankfurt saved twelve ducklings from a pool for water games. According to a spokesman for the Frankfurt fire department, the animals were stuck yesterday in an overflow pipe in the pool, the suction of which prevented them from swimming away. Initially, there was no suitable device for rescuing the animal children, but the emergency services quickly improvised, the fire brigade said today.
With a soup ladle from the canteen of a nearby company, the little ones were finally rescued from the water and handed over to the “longingly” waiting duck mom. The overflow pipe was then secured against future attempts by the chicks to swim. “Duck good, all good,” concludes the fire brigade their report.
