There are countless accommodations in kind across the province. However, every time we think we have seen everything, a new concept appears and makes us want to pack our bags!
This is the case of the “river lodges” of the Panora accommodation site, which will open its doors on July 7, in Gaspésie.
Currently under construction, the seven lodges will be installed about 10 meters from the river (!), in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, below Route 132.
Each of the small chalets is designed to accommodate four people, whether two couples or a family, and will offer a small terrace with a private jacuzzi.
Largely glazed, the dressing rooms will offer a fully equipped kitchen (including Nespresso coffee maker and microwave), a living room, a bathroom and two bedrooms with “Queen” beds and views of the river.
It is also expected that the units will offer wi-fi, all bedding and care products from the Quebec brand Oneka. All this, in addition to an outdoor fireplace to stroll under the moon of Haute-Gaspésie!
Who is behind this project? Biome Canada, a company specializing for 15 years in the sale and manufacture of yurts and ready-to-camp (for example oTENTik and Oasis tents in certain Parks Canada sites), which has decided to launch its own accommodation.
The company says it thought and designed its river lodges to highlight Panora’s exceptional location on the banks of the St. Lawrence, and to offer the comfort of a chalet. They are found nowhere else than in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts.
As a reminder, this small town is located, among other places, about 30 minutes by car from the Parc national de la Gaspésie, where you can go on great hikes in the Chic-Chocs.
The Panora boxes will be available all year round, and reservations are already open. We don’t have a crystal ball, but you should probably book quickly if you want to try them this summer!
