Italian coach Massimo Cancellieri has extended his contract with Limoges by two years until 2024, the CSP announced on Tuesday. Cancellieri, 49, joined the Limougeaud bench last summer, preceded by a good reputation on the other side of the Alps, as an assistant in Milan in particular.

Named among the best Elite coaches this season, he managed to raise the CSP to 4th place in the regular season, synonymous with the play-offs. In the quarter-finals, the 1993 European champion club faces Dijon.

“Being the coach of Limoges CSP is a great source of pride and honor,” said the Italian technician. I wanted to start a new cycle of combativeness and passion shared together. This is the best place to do it. The future with you makes me happy and gives me serenityā€¯.
