One day after the large-scale operation in a Hamburg school, there was also a police operation at a school in Offenburg in Baden-Württemberg on Thursday. A juvenile suspect was arrested, police said. The student is strongly suspected of having injured a classmate with a firearm. The victim was given first aid by paramedics.
The police assume that there were no other perpetrators or injuries. “There is currently no further danger to be expected,” explained the emergency services. The school in the northern part of Offenburg was cordoned off over a large area. For their safety, the approximately 180 students initially stayed in the classrooms. They were then taken out of school and looked after by special staff. The police said this could take a certain amount of time. Only then could they go to their parents.
It was only on Wednesday that the police searched a school in Hamburg with a large contingent of special forces after a teacher was threatened by two supposedly armed teenagers in a classroom. After another threatening situation in another school, several suspects between the ages of eleven and 14 were caught who, according to police, were in possession of toy weapons. Two of them are said to have been involved in the threat against the teacher.
