So, like, this crazy incident went down in the West Village, right? Apparently, some dude got arrested for allegedly raping another guy on a subway train. The NYPD was all over this mess, as per usual.
The victim, a 27-year-old dude, was riding the northbound No. 1 train around 4 a.m. on a Saturday. Just as the train was almost at the Christopher Street station, some creep approached him. This weirdo started making sexual comments and demanding money from the poor victim. Not cool, man.
The suspect, who goes by the name Mohammad Azeem, then forced the victim to do some inappropriate stuff before he bounced from the station on foot. The victim ended up in the hospital but is expected to recover, thank goodness.
Azeem got nabbed by the cops on Thursday and hit with charges like first-degree rape, sex abuse, and forcible touching. No word on who his lawyer is yet. The Christopher Street station is where this sketchy incident happened, and it’s close to a PATH station.
The NYPD is asking for help from the public to track down this dude in the photo. If you’ve seen him or know anything about what went down, call NYPD Crime Stoppers. They’ve got a hotline set up for tips and all that jazz.
Man, this whole situation is just wild. Like, who does that kind of stuff on a subway train? Not cool at all. Hopefully, they catch this guy soon and put him away for good. Stay safe out there, folks.
