Four passengers were injured in an accident involving a suspected smuggling vehicle in Upper Bavaria. As a police spokesman announced on Saturday, the suspected smuggler overtook another vehicle on Friday afternoon directly after the border crossing in Bayerisch Gmain in Berchtesgadener Land. His car crashed into a tree and the four occupants were injured. They were taken to the hospital. According to police, they had no identification documents. The driver fled on foot. The federal police are looking for the suspected smuggler.

Just last week, a suspected smuggling vehicle had an accident while fleeing the police in Upper Bavaria. Seven people died, including a six-year-old child.
