1. FC Union has confirmed its position as the current number one in Berlin and the first pursuer of Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern. The Köpenicker prevailed in the soccer capital derby 2-0 (1-0) at Hertha BSC.
Union drew level on points with Munich, who will play against Eintracht Frankfurt in the evening (6.30 p.m. / Sky). After two games without a win, SC Freiburg won 3-1 (2-1) against FC Augsburg at the start of the year.
VfL Bochum remains on the relegation rank and one place ahead of Hertha due to the 2: 5 (0: 3) at FSV Mainz 05. Borussia Mönchengladbach won 4-1 (2-0) at TSG Hoffenheim, Werder Bremen won 2-1 (1-0) against VfL Wolfsburg.
