A man from Upper Moreland Township in the US state of Pennsylvania is said to have stabbed his 62-year-old neighbor, as reported by the Associated Press news agency, among others.

Accordingly, his opponent had previously removed a grille from his window and opened the unlocked window when the 55-year-old was eating dinner. The men are said to have had a verbal exchange of blows through the window for around 20 minutes. The 62-year-old had repeatedly complained to his neighbor about his loud snoring, which could be heard through the walls. However, he eventually calmed down and even suggested paying for a nose job to relieve his snoring.

When he wanted to shake his hand and the neighbor opened the door for him, the neighbor is said to have already armed himself with a knife and an electric shocker. He is said to have then suddenly rammed the knife into his counterpart’s chest.

As he later stated to the police, he did not believe that the handshake and the offer of the nose job was serious. As a result, he decided to “surprise” him by stabbing him with a knife. Over the past year and a half, there are said to have been “personal problems” between the two men due to excessive snoring – which resulted in several calls to the police.

When rescue workers arrived at the scene, the victim was lying on the ground with serious injuries. The man later died in hospital. His neighbor was charged with manslaughter and possession of instrumentalities. He has been in prison since his arrest. Bail was set at $1 million.
