After the knife attack in Hamburg that left two dead, the police are now looking for a 32-year-old man as the suspected perpetrator and for witnesses to the bloody crime. The wanted German has a southern appearance, is 1.78 meters tall, has black hair slicked back and is dressed in dark clothing, the police said. He is said to have stabbed a 58-year-old and a 61-year-old yesterday.
According to previous findings from the State Criminal Police Office and the public prosecutor’s office, there was an argument between the three men, who presumably knew each other, in front of a house on a residential street in the Billstedt district. During the argument, the 32-year-old is said to have stabbed the other two and then fled.
A search that was launched immediately with more than two dozen patrol cars and motorcycles as well as a police helicopter produced no results. As part of the further investigation, two apartments in the Lohbrügge and Horn districts were searched on Friday evening on the orders of the public prosecutor.
The police asked witnesses who observed the altercation or who could provide information about the alleged perpetrator to come forward. This is particularly true for an older woman with a small silver car.
