The two Beijing Olympic champions won gold in the mixed skeleton team at the World Championships in Winterberg.

The duo prevailed with a lead of twelve hundredths of a second over the British duo Tabitha Stoecker and Matt Weston. Jacqueline Pfeifer and Axel Jungk came in third place. For Grotheer it was the third gold in the mixed doubles after 2021 in Altenberg and 2023 in St. Moritz, and for Neise it was the first World Cup gold ever in her career.

“Mega, the ride was great, just a great feeling,” said Grotheer, who also won gold in the individual. After taking bronze in the individual competition, Neise was happy with the conclusion: “My family was here and many from my hometown of Schmallenberg supported me. It was a nice feeling.”.
