Ms. Trelles-Tvede, you invented the spiral hair tie. How did you come up with that? When I got ready for a university party, I was still missing the right hairstyle. I unplugged the spiral cable from a wall telephone and wrapped it in my hair. The next morning the cord still held up and I didn’t have a headache like I did with other hair ties. I called my friend and said, “I have a business idea.”
What happened next? I immersed myself in product development until we had worked out exactly the right thickness, shape and size and found the right producers in China.
