Between two and four million people in Germany suffer from chronic heart failure, better known as heart failure. And although there are increasingly better treatments, heart failure often leads to death. In 2022 alone, 37,570 people in Germany died from it; This puts heart failure in third place among all deaths from cardiovascular diseases. According to the 2022 heart report, it is even the highest in terms of hospital admissions, with around 400,000 cases per year.
