In the USA, private cannabis consumption is currently legal in 23 states. Colorado was one of the pioneers in releasing it; since the beginning of 2014, everyone over the age of 21 has been allowed to buy marijuana there. Since then, more than $15 billion in sales of the drug have been made in this state alone. The state collected a gigantic sum of almost $2.6 billion in taxes and fees. Numerous new jobs were created.
