Stray hair is tiny microfibers that are statically charged – this allows them to bond with the hair and cover bald spots or receding hairlines. For this reason, scattered hair (also called loose hair) is said to be equally suitable for men and women. Regardless of whether you want to conceal a roots or give your hair more body: the application always remains the same. However, before you decide on a product, you should read the following information carefully.

In fact, stray hair has been around for more than 20 years, but it was previously only used in the film and theater industry. However, the products are now also available in retail stores, usually in the form of small cans – like hair powder. Only this is not a powder, but rather fibers made from keratin (i.e. animal components) or vegetable cotton. There are even products made from artificial fibers such as nylon. But no matter what the scattered hair is made from: In the end, the fibers still have to be dyed so that there is the right tone for every hair color. If you then apply the electrostatically charged stray hair to your scalp, it bonds with your own hair. This means that men and women can easily conceal thin hair, thinning spots and receding hairlines.

First of all, it is important that you choose the right color – this is the only way to cover your hair in a natural way. It doesn’t matter whether you want to conceal something or simply want to give your thin, fine or thin hair more color and body: the application remains the same in any case. It is important for you to know that your hair must be dry so that the fibers do not get wet and form small clumps when applied. You should also style your hair appropriately first and then use the straight hair. Once the stray hair has bonded with your hairstyle, it should be wind and water resistant. To be on the safe side, you can also treat your hair with a special fixing spray for stray hair. Later you can easily wash the fibers out of your hair again with shampoo.

And one last tip: The stray hair should stick to the scalp so tightly that you can do sports with it. Most products can withstand even a short rain shower – but if your hair gets too wet, it can happen that the color is washed out.
