Ian Marshall, president of Harry Kane’s childhood club Ridgeway Rovers, believes Bayern’s new football star can break Robert Lewandowski’s goal record. “Harry will tackle this record. He wants to break records everywhere,” said Marshall in an interview with “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland”. Lewandowski, who will soon be 35, scored 41 goals for Munich in the 2020/21 Bundesliga season. England’s future national team captain David Beckham once played in a youth team at Ridgeway Rovers Football Club.
Marshall does not see the fact that the Munich team is transferring more than 100 million euros to his previous club Tottenham Hotspur for the 30-year-old Kane. “Robert Lewandowski doesn’t look old at FC Barcelona either. And he’s almost five years older than Harry. If Harry continues to take good care of his body, he can still play at a very high level until 35, 36, 37.” Kane is under contract with FC Bayern until 2027.
