The Tasveer Film Festival has recently revealed the members of its jury panel for the upcoming 19th edition. This year, the festival will take place in Seattle from October 17 to 20 and will showcase a variety of South Asian films.
Leading the jury panel is Shaunak Sen, a talented filmmaker who has been nominated for an Oscar. Sen expressed his admiration for Tasveer’s dedication to promoting South Asian voices on a global scale. He is honored to serve as the President of the jury for the 2024 Film Festival.
In addition to Sen, the jury panel consists of Elham Ehsas, Omi Vaidya, Kanak Mani Dixit, Samia Zaman, Geeta Vasant Patel, Beena Sarwar, Arshad Khan, Saket Saurabh, Priya Vashist, and Chaitanya Sareen from the United States. Tasveer Film Festival holds the distinction of being the only South Asian film festival with an “Oscar-qualifying” status.
