Promoted ThSV Eisenach has also won the second home game of the season in the Handball Bundesliga. In an initially tight game, the Thuringians defeated Frisch Auf Göppingen by 27:24 (15:11) on Wednesday evening.
The initial phase in the Werner-Aßmann-Halle in Eisenach was balanced in front of 2221 spectators. Shortly before the half-time break, the hosts managed a comfortable lead of three goals for the first time. Coach Misha Kaufmann’s team held this lead comfortably until the end.
The best thrower was Manuel Zehnder with eight goals, two of which were converted seven meters. The top scorer tore a ligament in his right ankle in the last game against TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, but was able to be back on the pitch in top form. Eisenach will play their next game next Sunday against TVB 1898 Stuttgart.
