A really smartly crafted scams-sms tipping over in these days out on the phones.
It comes under the heading of ’pakkeinfo’ and has already sucked several danes into a svindelkarrussel, which costs real money.
“these fraudsters have unfortunately had no luck with it here. The language is good, and they write out of a situation, a great many genuinely are in right now: you need to download a package,” says Peter Kruse, an expert in CYBER security at CSIS, B. T.:
“People are simply being ripped off. You will be rolled into a abonnementskarrusel. This is sheer fraud.”
the Track is very simple.
You receive a text with the headline ‘pakkeinfo’.
It says that you need to tap on a link to pay restporto.
When you press on the link, you will enter to a page, where it says ’tracking number’ and then proceed to a page where you get the message that you need to pay 20 kroner, in the remaining postage, and that your package is on the way.
Tapping you again there, you enter a page where you must fill in your name and your information.
Here is as also in small print, that you at the same time join in a subscription, where you are being pulled 39,99 euro.
This corresponds to 299 pounds each month. And the subscription you pay for, of course, is purely a conceit – you get nothing for the money.
“I can confirm that we have already seen a lot of danes, which is smoked in the trap,” says Peter Kruse:
“It is called ‘smishing’. It is phishing via sms, and the aim is, of course, that there are some computer criminals here and will have your credit card information.”
Peter Kruse explains that we have a greater tendency to smoke in the fraud-the trap, when the messages come on the sms rather than email.
“our Guard is, unfortunately, a little further down. So it is therefore important to use common sense,” says Peter Kruse:
“If you are asked to hand over your information via a link in an sms, then it’s no thank you with the same. So simple is it.”
