In just two weeks, the three children on the island of Falster has been treated by an ophthalmologist as a result of play with the popular laserpenne.
And it has now been ophthalmologist Marina Gancho, who treated the three children, to sound the alarm.
It may, in the worst case, cost vision, tells one of her employees to lokalmediet folketidende on.
“First of all the blind, so you can see the black rings, and one of them will get permanent damage,” says Pernille Holm, who is employed by the Marina Gancho.
According to Pernille Holm was laserpennene bought in Denmark, and she fears, therefore, that the small metaldims can ports under the christmas tree for quite a few days around in the Danish home.
It is far from the first time, to be warned against the popular laserpenne. Back in 2014 warned Øjenforeningen against laserpenne and wrote among other things:
‘Unfortunately, there are reported serious damage to the eye also in Denmark, as f.ex. The ophthalmology department in Glostrup has had cases where young people have lost the sight in one eye, because they have fixed laserpointeren against private eye. The result is that nethindens yellow spot, so to speak, being burned by a fraction of a second.’
And we turn the clock back to 2011, a man was sentenced to 14 days imprisonment for want of a laserpen against a helicopter.
