ThSV Eisenach suffered their third away defeat of the season. The handball first division team lost against HC Erlangen in the Arena Nürnberger Versicherung on Saturday in front of 4034 spectators with 23:28 (14:14) and therefore remains without away points.
While the guests from Eisenach had already opened up a four-goal lead in the 14th minute, Erlangen was able to fight back and, thanks to a strong phase, won the score at 14:14 at halftime. In the second half, HC Erlangen was the more dominant team and pulled away, especially in the last ten minutes.
The best thrower was Ivan Snajder from ThSV Eisenach with eight goals, four of which were from seven meters.
The Wartburg town team also has an away game on the next seventh matchday. Next Sunday they will be playing in the capital at Füchse Berlin.
