The death toll attributable to the coronavirus has increased in a disturbing way on Monday, with 258 deaths recorded in 24 hours (compared to 116 the day before) at the hospital, the epidemic had killed at least 35 018 people in the country, announced public Health France. 26 771 new cases of contamination have also been identified, against a record of more than 52 000 the previous day.
More than 2,700 patients of the Covid-19 were hospitalized in intensive care Monday, 357 new serious cases have been admitted to these services in the past 24 hours, a figure that had not been reached since April, according to public Health France. In total, 2 761 people were hospitalized in the intensive care unit on Monday (or 186 more than Sunday) to a current capacity of approximately 5 800 beds, that the government intend to make up in power for the next few days.
2 314 new hospitalizations
in addition, a 2-314 new patients Covid have been hospitalized over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hospitalizations in the country to 17 761. The other indicators (number of deaths, new infections, rates of positivity…) were not available early Monday evening. The day before, France had set a new record with over 50 000 positive cases confirmed in 24 hours.
