No. No. 1 Georgia meets No. 1 Georgia faces No.

Georgia won both of its games with a score of 71-10. The oddsmakers aren’t expecting Georgia to win the next one.

The Bulldogs were favored by 18 1/2 against Arkansas and 15 1/2 against Auburn. They are now a more than three-touchdown favorite against Kentucky. Kentucky is the other unbeaten SEC team.

It seems a little dismissive of Wildcats who, in the past two weeks, have defeated Florida and LSU at their home.

It’s really a statement about Georgia’s early season dominance on defense. The Bulldogs currently allow 5.5 points per match. Alabama, at 5.3, was the last major college football team that allowed fewer points per match over a full-season.

Georgia has the highest mark allowed at 3.60 yards per game, surpassing Alabama’s 2011 (3.32).

Georgia still has half of a regular season. This includes some of the best offenses in SEC like Florida, Missouri, and an improving Tennessee. A matchup between Alabama’s strong offense and the SEC championship is possible, if not probable.

Georgia’s defense, which is anchored by Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, has been unstoppable.

The Wildcats have the potential to have one of the most successful seasons in school history. Athens will be their home. They will be welcomed by ESPN’s College GameDay and will appear on CBS at 3:30 PM EDT.

Although the records and rankings are impressive, it will be a huge effort on the part of the Wildcats to make the game live up to its potential.
