Mr. Back, you often give lectures or sit on stages and the audience looks up to you. How are the narcissistic parts of your personality doing? First of all, I find this interesting and stimulating. But you’re right: a situation with a lot of social attention is one that narcissists particularly respond to. They seek out such situations and react to them more strongly: with pride, when they feel there is attention, there is admiration. With anger when they feel like there is a lack of attention or there is competition.
