The Valencian Community has reported 3,458 new cases of coronavirus since the last update on Friday. Of these, 1,629 -47%- are from people over 60 years of age. This has been indicated by the Ministry of Health in the data balance of the pandemic that it offers twice a week.
In this regard, the incidence rate in that age group has dropped, in the same period, by almost 57 points to stand at 569.25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, below the national average of 663.22, according to the update of the Ministry of Health.
Hospitals in the three provinces currently have 669 people admitted for covid-19, 35 of them in the ICU. They are thirty less and three less, respectively, than in the last update.
On the other hand, Health has registered seven more deaths -one of them in April and the rest in the last two weeks- due to coronavirus, so the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,416. They are two women, between 80 and 83 years old, and five men between 73 and 95 years old.
