Frankfurter Eintracht normally plays their home games in the Waldstadion, but on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. the NFL heavyweights Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins will meet in the arena (live on RTL on TV and RTL Plus in the live stream).
Some Dolphins professionals used the time before the game to stroll through Frankfurt’s old town. They were quite impressed by the scenery, as documented in a video on the club’s own “That is very cool!” affirms another. Waddle himself is particularly impressed by the fact that blankets are laid out for guests on the terrace of a restaurant – “You have blankets? They’re so stylish” – and is visibly happy about a bouquet of euro notes in his hand. The franchise titled the video “Touri-Stuff” at X.
However, not everyone is happy about the work trip to Germany. Marquez Valdes-Scantling from the opponent Chiefs vented his displeasure about the appointment on “CBS Sports”: “It sucks,” he said. However, Valdez-Scantling was less annoyed about the host country than about the business trip itself. “Of course it sucks that we have to travel nine hours to a home game when Arrowhead Stadium is right around the corner,” he said, referring to his Chiefs’ home arena. His coach Andy Reid was much more positive. He likes schnitzel and bratwurst and is looking forward to an atmosphere “like the Super Bowl,” the coach said in advance, according to the German Press Agency. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes announced that he would like to come more often in the future, even if he would have preferred a game in Munich. Meanwhile, his wife Brittany stayed home.
As the “Kansas City Star” reports, she is said to have passed the time in New York with megastar Taylor Swift, who was last seen flirting with Chiefs player Travis Kelce. Recently there was wild speculation about whether Taylor Swift would sit in the stands in Frankfurt to cheer on her Travis. Quite a few were probably looking forward to the singer’s presence as much as they were looking forward to the game itself.
However, if the straw widows actually celebrated into the night, as the report states, it could be extremely tight to get to the stadium in Frankfurt on time.
