A total of 22,511 students from the Valencian Community will participate next week in the ordinary call for the 2022 University Access Tests (PAU). Sixty percent of the students who will take the tests are women and forty percent are men, according to data provided by the Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society.
By universities, the two in the province of Valencia are the ones that will welcome the largest number of students, with 6,572 male and female students who will be examined at the University of Valencia and 5,639 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
They are followed by the two universities in the province of Alicante that will host a total of 7,714, of which 4,011 will take the tests at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and 3,703 at the University of Alicante.
Finally, at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, a total of 2,586 male and female students will be examined.
Most of the student body accesses the PAU after completing a Bachiller, while 1,523 students come from training cycles. From the Generalitat they point out that the number of women who present themselves to the PAU after completing a training cycle is almost double the number of men who access through this route.
