Singer Rita Ora (31) and director Taika Waititi (47) officially tied the knot in a secret ceremony in London earlier this year. She officially confirmed this on Jaime Winstone’s Greatest Night Ever podcast. The pop star also revealed that the two are planning another big ceremony in London for their friends and family. And the newlywed announced another sweet detail: she changed her last name to Waititi-Ora.

Rita Ora said she was inspired by her parents’ relationship. The singer’s mother, Vera, and her father, Besnik, have been a couple for more than 30 years. “I’m in love. I’m very much in love,” she told Winstone. “I made that decision. It made me happy and I love Taika. He’s so funny and adorable,” Ora said. “But I also love love. I’ve always believed in it so much,” she continued. Even as a child she wanted “the fairy tale”.

Taika Waititi and Rita Ora have been together for about a year and a half. While Ora is currently working on her third album, following the theatrical success of Thor: Love and Thunder, Taika is already planning his next project, a new, untitled Star Wars film.
