Six people were seriously injured in a collision between two cars in Wiesbaden. A 24-year-old driver is said to have rammed a turning car from the side with his vehicle at the intersection of Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and Wittelsbacherstrasse on Saturday evening, the police said. The 24-year-old’s car overturned as a result of the violent impact. The man and two female and two male passengers – including a seven-year-old boy – were seriously injured and taken to nearby hospitals. The 30-year-old driver of the rammed car was life-threateningly injured and, according to the police, was initially in mortal danger on Sunday afternoon.
According to current knowledge, it is assumed that the 24-year-old drove his car at a significantly excessive speed when the traffic light was red, a police spokesman said.
