Former FC Bayern and national soccer player Jérôme Boateng (34) has been convicted of bodily harm in an appeal process. On the evening of November 2, 2022, the Munich I Regional Court imposed a fine of 120 daily rates on the 34-year-old, each amounting to 10,000 euros, as reported by “tagesschau.de”, among other things. Boateng therefore has to pay a total of 1.2 million euros.
Boateng had to answer for allegations of bodily harm and insult last year. In September 2021, the 2014 world champion was fined 1.8 million euros. At that time, the court had imposed a fine of 60 daily rates of 30,000 euros on him.
A former partner had accused the footballer of being attacked by him in 2018. Boateng had rejected the allegations. All those involved had appealed after the verdict, which is why the appeal process started in October 2022 in Munich.
