The four most important British royals presented themselves in a good mood and as a unit at a pre-Christmas event for 500 members of the diplomatic corps on Tuesday evening. It was the first joint appearance of King Charles III. (75), Queen Camilla (76), heir to the throne Prince William (41) and his wife Kate (41), since the tell-all book “Endgame” by Omid Scobie (42) was published and caused a new stir around the royal family. Princess Kate in particular was an eye-catcher – she presented a tiara for the second time in two weeks.

At the annual event at Buckingham Palace, the royals traditionally greet members of the diplomatic corps. This time, the royal observers were particularly interested in how the family behaved after the scandal surrounding new allegations of racism. They quickly realized: The royals don’t let on and are acting professionally as usual. And of course, as usual, Princess Kate’s outfit was also in focus. This time, the mother of three chose her beloved Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara. It is the royal headdress that she has worn most often – she has now presented the accessory twelve times since 2015.

The piece was also a favorite of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana (1961-1997). The tiara is over 100 years old and was originally commissioned by Queen Mary from jewelers Garrard in 1913 or 1914. It is a replica of a tiara that belonged to Mary’s grandmother, Princess Augusta of Hesse. Kate last wore the “Lover’s Knot” tiara in June at the royal wedding banquet of Crown Prince Hussein (29) and Princess Rajwa (29) of Jordan. At the current reception, she even recreated her entire wedding look. Because she also wore the same sparkling dress by Jenny Packham with the tiara. The Princess of Wales even chose the same earrings. The blue sash of the Royal Victorian Order alone marked a difference.

It is Kate’s second glamorous appearance at Buckingham Palace in two weeks. She also wore a tiara at the reception of the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeo (62) and his wife, causing a real surprise: The “Strathmore Rose Tiara” had not been worn in public since the 1930s .

The royal couple’s Instagram page paid tribute to the evening for the “ambassadors of the world”. The reception celebrates London as “home to one of the largest diplomatic corps in the world.” A number of impressions from the event were posted – including a joint picture of the royal couple and the heir to the throne.

As “The Sun” judged, the Royal Family wanted to present itself as a strong unit after the new racism allegations in Omid Scobie’s tell-all book “Endgame”. The two couples clearly formed the “new fantastic four” – after breaking up with Harry (39) and Meghan (42). By the way, Queen Camilla also wore a tiara, the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara”. She also chose a cream embroidered evening dress by Fiona Clare, a diamond brooch from the Queen Mother and a diamond bracelet from the late Queen.
