Emergency services have recovered a body after a major fire in an industrial area in Wales. Police were alerted to an explosion and fire in the town of Pontypridd on Wednesday evening – a building in the Treforest district was on fire and in danger of collapsing. One person was missing.
“After searching the area, officers located a body,” South Wales Police said. The rescue workers had spoken of a serious incident, and clinics in the region were initially on alert. The cause of the fire is still unclear and is now being investigated.
