The heads of government of the federal states have started their renewed consultations on the implementation of planned relief in the energy crisis. The prime ministers met on Thursday at the state representation of Lower Saxony in Berlin. In the afternoon, talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) are to be continued in the Federal Chancellery.
According to the state government of Lower Saxony, which chairs the conference of prime ministers, there is a need for clarification between the federal and state governments, for example on financing issues to support small and medium-sized companies and the 49-euro ticket for local transport.
